COVID-19 Update

May 1, 2020

Hello patients, families, and friends:

This past Monday, Governor Abbott announced the reopening of Dental Offices. Final guidelines from the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners were released just yesterday. As always, our office will be meticulously following their guidelines along with the recommendations from the CDC and the American Dental Association. Our entire office is working diligently to implement the new protocols. Patient safety is our top priority, so please be patient just a few days longer!

We will begin seeing patients again on Monday May the 11th and will be extending our hours and adding additional days. It is our goal to have everyone back on track as soon as possible.

Within the next two weeks we will be calling everyone to schedule your next appointment. We will be scheduling patients in chronological order from the time we had to close. Please help our staff by allowing us the courtesy of initiating the call to get you rescheduled. Please note: All appointments that were scheduled prior to our closing have been cancelled and will be rescheduled. Please do NOT show up at the office without a confirmed appointment as unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate you.

For the foreseeable future, the "new" normal will be very different from the"old" normal. The standard and quality of our treatment is one of the things that will NOT change! While our goal is still to achieve the same high quality results that we are both seeking, HOW we do this, HOW we schedule, and HOW we greet and meet each other will be very different as it should be.

Before you arrive, please take your temperature and brush your teeth. Anyone with a temperature of over 100.4 degrees cannot be seen. Please arrive with clean teeth as our tooth-brushing station will be closed for now.

Upon arrival, please remain in your car and text (include the patient's name) or call our main number 281-360-3307. We will then notify you when the patient should come to our front door. From there, we will check everyone's temperatures, sanitize hands and take a short health history for every person that enters the office. Our entire staff will also be screened prior to each work day and before leaving the office.

Please note: State regulations now require that ONLY patients be allowed into the office. For minor children, one parent or guardian wearing a mask may enter the office after being screened, but will need to remain in the waiting room.

Social distancing protocols will be in effect through the office. In the treatment area, patients will be seated at least 6 feet apart utilizing every other chair. Our uniforms will now look a little different. The new attire will be clinical jackets, gloves, masks, and face shields! We still want to have fun with our patients no matter how we look!

After the appointment our office will call to schedule your next appointment. If the patient knows their schedule, we will try to make the next appointment at the treatment chair. Please discuss your schedule with your child prior to sending them in so that we can do our best to accommodate you.

We truly appreciate how patient and understanding everyone has been during this very challenging time for all of us! We have missed all of our patients and families and look forward to seeing all of you in the coming weeks!
