Dr. Richards
Dr. Richards not only spends his days with a staff of 14 women, but also goes home to his family of five females, including two female dogs! He and his wife, Sheryll, have been married for over 24 years and reside in Kingwood with their four daughters: Meghan, Amy, Kaylee and Josey. They are members of their local church, Woodlands Church East. Dr. Richards supports the community by sponsoring many athletic teams, school events and projects, mission trips and patients in various activities. He himself has been to places such as Mexico, India and Africa on mission trips. His favorite vacation spot is Cayman Islands and he is a certified scuba diver.
Dr. Richards grew up in Cleveland, Texas. After high school he attended Texas
A & M University, and was recognized as a distinguished student. In 1985, Dr. Richards graduated from The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Yes, he is part Aggie, part Longhorn! After dental school, he completed a comprehensive two-year full time residency in orthodontics at The University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Kentucky and is a certified specialist in the field of orthodontics.
Dr. Richards has been in the exclusive practice of orthodontics in Kingwood for over 24 years. Dr. Richards is a progressive and experienced orthodontist who keeps informed on current developments and the newest techniques in his field by attending many hours of continuing education every year. He uses technology whenever possible to raise the standard of care for his patients while at the same time making it a more pleasant experience. He treats children, teenagers and adults and loves creating beautiful smiles with a commitment to excellence. Dr. Richards is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, the Texas Dental Society, the Greater Houston Dental Society and the North Houston Seattle Study Club.
Dr. Darsey
Dr. Drew Darsey has had an interest in orthodontics since the time he was in braces himself. He met his wife, Taylor, at Texas A&M in 2001, where they worked together as Fish Camp counselors. In 2007, they were married in Houston, and they welcomed a baby girl, Molly, in March of 2011. In his free time, Dr. Darsey enjoys spending time outdoors: hunting, playing golf, water skiing and playing guitar. He also loves to go running with his family and completed his first marathon in January 2011. His family currently attends First Baptist Church in Houston.
Dr. Darsey was born in Crockett, Texas and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended Trinity Valley School in Fort Worth from K-12. He is a proud member of the fighting Texas Aggie class from 2003, earning a degree in industrial distribution from the School of Engineering. In 2009, Dr. Darsey graduated from the University of Texas Dental Branch Houston and finished his Master of Science in Orthodontics in August 2011. While in Dental School, Dr. Darsey served as a class officer, was on the Dean’s Student Excellence List and a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. During his residency, Dr. Darsey was chosen as Chief Resident of his orthodontic class. Dr. Darsey is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, the Texas Dental Society, the Greater Houston Dental Society and the North Houston Seattle Study Club.
